Rewards From Him

Psalm 127: 3
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him.

Psalms 139: 13-16
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Movie Theater Party

 On October 1st, we celebrated the twin's fourth birthday with friends.  We had planned to do an outdoor movie with our projector, but the weather spoiled our plans.  It was rainy and ugly that day!  We moved the party to the basement, and we were nice and cozy inside.  The party started at 6:00, and by the time the first guests arrived, Jack and Sophie were stirred up into quite the frenzy of excitement!  Here they are making sure that Daddy gets the projector right.  They love to dance in front of the screen when the movie turns on.  You can see that we picked "Curious George" as the movie.

 These are the kid's cakes.  I decided not to make the cakes this year, and could not have been happier.  Jack and Sophie loved them!  We managed to keep them a surprise until their party, and they were pretty excited to have their own cakes!
 Jack set up his toy projector by the real projector.
Singing Happy Birthday, and checking out the cakes while we waited for a few guests to arrive.

 Jack needed help blowing out his candles, so all of his friends blew together.  Sophie's little smile shows just how excited she was!
 Eating the cake.  Matt cute HUGE pieces!  HA!  Those cakes are so sugary, that not much actually got eaten.
 We bought movie theater candy boxes of candy, juice boxes, and we popped popcorn.  We thought we went overboard on the candy, but it was good we bought extras, because some of the kids ate three(yes three!) boxes of candy.  Those poor kids didn't have a chance at sitting and watching a movie!  :)

 Watching the movie.  The girls all cuddled in a line, and it was really sweet.  The boys didn't really make it through the movie, and Matt entertained them by having them chase flashlights around the wall.  Boys are nuts!

 We really did have a good night, and it was fun watching Jack and Sophie interact with all of their friends.  They were excited to give their friends favors on the way out the door.  It was a lot of work, but it felt great to make them feel so special for their special day!
