Rewards From Him

Psalm 127: 3
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him.

Psalms 139: 13-16
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Jack's Travels

start
(you have to picture Jack parallel to the play gym bars)

finish

While playing with Jack on the floor the other day, I noticed that he started making wierd movements with his body that I had never seen before. He was twisting, pushing his belly out, and digging his heals in. After a few minutes I noticed he was moving. He started parallel to the play gym bars, and ended up twisted around, and far off the play mat. You'll also notice that he pushed himself up under the ottoman. I had to get a few good shots, so by the time I was done, he was pretty far under. I think he was fairly interested at the underside of the ottoman, because he didn't cry once. Oh and yes, he is only wearing a diaper. For some reason, Jack cries sometimes, and the only thing that will make him happy, is to be naked. I like happy babies, so therefore, he spends some of each day in a diaper.

Jumperoo

Both babies are really holding their heads well, so we decided to bring down the Jumperoo. They are too short to jump, but we thought they might like looking at the different toys on it. Jack had a good time, he even like sucking on it due to the fact that the seat was at mouth level. Everything was great until I got excited with the camera, and he bonked his nose. He fussed a little, but was ok in no time. Maybe we'll hold off on the Jumperoo though, for another day.

From here...to there...

I know this isn't actually crawling or walking, but Sophie has started moving from here to there. It is a start. Before I know my kids are going to take off in two directions and I won't know who to follow! It sorta seems like this is the beginning of independence. My babies really aren't tiny little babies anymore. I definitly won't know what to do when I wake up one day and they are sixteen!

Can't get enough of the Our Twins?

I know I can't ;) Check out these two new blogs that I have created for even more fun from the twins!

Smiley Guy

I love how big Jack is smiling in this picture. Since he has learned to smile, he never stops! If you look closely at the second picture, you can see that both Matt and Jack have the same raised eyebrows. Too cute.

Out for a Walk

The weather has been so nice here the past couple of days, that we decided to take the twins out for a walk. Jack loved the walk, and looked all around. He especially liked the trees overhead, as he had the perfect vantage point! Sophie was a little upset during the walk, but Daddy made it all better by holding her and giving her a few kisses.

3 Great Months

Has it really been three whole months? What a blur! Everyday Matt and I say, "How in the world do we have TWO babies?" We have seen even more changes this month as the twins grow and mature. Even though Sophie is getting bigger, you can't tell after holding Jack, but she is growing fast! The best thing that happened this month, was the few occasional smiles shared, and one "conversation" that Jack and Sophie had with each other. We can't wait until they start to play together. I can say, sleep is getting a little better! Sophie can actually put herself to sleep with little or no help, and both babies are cutting down on their nighttime feedings! Hopefully they will be sleeping through the night before their first birthday!
