Rewards From Him

Psalm 127: 3
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him.

Psalms 139: 13-16
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Storytime

The twins love storytime. Actually they like to beat the books and try to turn the pages as I attempt to read to them. But it is fun anyway! Sophie really does treat the books nicely, and turn the pages. Jack likes to read...um...eat the books too!

Cheese!

The pictures of Matt and the twins were so darn cute! Everyone got in on the action, and in the last one, they all seem to be having a conversation. I love my family! Too cute!

Going for a Hike

Last weekend, we purchased front packs for the twins so that Matt and I could go hiking, or walking somewhere that doesn't have sidewalk, and enough room for the double stroller. The twins were so funny in thier packs. They are so short they could barely see out of them! But they were the perfect height for sucking on the pack. Matt of course took Jack, the 16lb guy, while I got to carry the very petite 13lb Sophie. Let me add though, it is not easy to carry that kind of weight in front of you(how did I carry that much weight when I was pregnant?). The twins loved the walk, and were interested in the trees, and everything around them. We can't wait to do it again. I love this spring weather!

Alumni Game, Shippensburg, PA

Last Saturday we took a trip to Shippensburg for the Alumni Soccer Game. Matt played while I watched the kids, and visited with friends. I was so excited to see two of my roommates, Nean and Dej as we called each other a few years ago. It is amazing how much can change, and stay the same in four years! We all had lots of fun, and I think the twins just love being outside. That is what a winter of "house arrest" will do to you! Of course, I had really great pics of Nean and Sophie, and some of Jack, but they got deleted. So you will just have to look at the only two surviving pictures I have left.

A Day at the Park

Last Wednesday was a gorgeous day! We took the twins to a park near our house, and walked and played. They loved it, and we did too. They tried out the big slide with Daddy, and the baby swings. Sophie liked the swing more than Jack, but she is a little bit of a daredevil! After being on "house arrest" all winter, it is so nice to be able to get out of the house and enjoy spring.

Sophie Laughing

After hearing Jack laugh a few weeks ago, I am sure you were wondering what Sophie's laugh sounded like. Well, here it is! She was laughing at Matt as he was "yelling" at her. You can tell at first she is startled, but then tickled pink!

Jack in the Jumperoo

This is Jack's favorite thing to do right now! He will go crazy in jumping around and bouncing up and down. Sophie is still too short, but she loves to sit we me on the couch and watch him like in this picture:

Happy Half Birthday!

Wow, can you believe it has been six months since these little guys were born?
Everyone told Matt and I that "time would fly." Well, it has, and it hasn't. Some days(and nights) drag by. I never thought that I would be so tired yet just wish the night would be over! I am happy to say that everyone is sleeping better these days. Jack slept from 8:00-6:15 the other night. I had to make Matt check on him in the morning to make sure he was ok! Although both babies eat overnight, and Sophie is up as many as three times, I can usually just plop them in thier cribs when I am done.
No matter how the day is though, Matt(I am going to speak for him to) and I end every day in a heap, so thankful that we have been blessed with these wonderful, beautiful, happy babies. As Aunt Theresa told me once, I really can't remember my life without them(although I'm sure I slept better then). So here's to six months with these amazing little guys.
We celebrated thier six month birthday with cereal. Here a few pictures of them. Sophie hates plain cereal, but she will eat it with mashed up bananas in it. Both babies try to grab the spoon out of our hands, and love to feed themselves.
