Rewards From Him

Psalm 127: 3
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him.

Psalms 139: 13-16
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

DelGrosso Amusement Park

Yesterday, we took a little trip to a nearby amusement part. We went with G&G Perini, Aunt Laurie, Great Aunt Angie, Cousin Teresa, Great Uncle Steve, and Cousin Jon. We were quite the group! There was a water park side, and then a few rides on the other side. We spent the first half of the afternoon roaming the water park. It was a zero entry pool with some mushrooms that poured water down, and a little area with slides, and spraying water everywhere. Jack loved going down the slide, as long as Matt or I was with him. Sophie was hesitant at first, and then after I accidentally got her stuck under the giant bucket when it poured over, she kept pretty much to the edges. Us adults took turns going down the huge slides. It was warm, but not hot, so we got lucky that it wasn't crowded. After a quick snack, we walked over to the ride side. Jack and Sophie could not wait to try out the rides. They were all smiles looking at the different rides. We decided to start them out on something tame, so they tried the cars, which basically went in a circle. I can't believe I thought they would cry! HA! They loved it, and immediately wanted to try something else.

The fish on the next ride went up and down, and at first Jack and Sophie weren't sure if they liked it. By the end of the ride they were all smiles, and by the end of the night, they were putting their little hands in the air, and letting go of the ride.

Jack and Sophie went in the boat together, and took turns ringing the little bell. They also tried to ring the bell behind them!

All smiles, ready for the elephant ride to start!

The helicopter ride was a hit! The bar that Jack and Sophie are holding makes the airplane go up if you pull on it, and down if you push it. Jack went straight up, and didn't come down until the end. He was delighted to be up so high in the air. Sophie was too cute, and she pumped the little handle back and forth, which made her helicopter bounce a little, until she also stayed up in the air.

A short, little train ride that we all got on. You can see everyone's heads if you look closely.

Aunt Angie, Grammie, and Grandpa took the kids on the big carousel while Matt, Laurie, Teresa, Uncle Steve and I attacked each other in the bumber cars. Don't tell, but Matt and I broke the rules by ramming each other head on. The five of us also caused a lot of traffic jam ups!

The kids each won a duck, a sword, and a few other little things playing games. We also had cotton candy. YUM!

After this, we had a little dinner, and then Jack and Sophie surprised me again by asking to go on the "bigger" rides. Unfortunately, to ride these other rides, you had to be thirty-six inches, and Sophie wasn't quite tall enough. She was allowed to sneak on one ride with dragons, because Teresa went with her, but they wouldn't let her on the roller coaster. Jack and I went on the roller coaster with Uncle Steve, and Teresa, while Sophie went back to the fish. Thankfully there were no tears! Jack liked the roller coaster, but was a little scared(thrilled) when it went fast!

The twins would have stayed all night, if we would have let them! They wanted to go on the rides again and again. They fell asleep in the car about three minutes after we left. To be honest, if we wouldn't have had to drive, Matt and I would have been out too! It was a good day, and we are all happy and exhausted today!
